The Alters are your characters' profiles. Each time you create a Character Biography, a staff member creates a new Alter for you to RP with. When RPing, there's a drop down menu next to the "Create Post" or "Quick Reply" button that says "Alters:". If you click the arrow, you can choose which character you wish to reply with.
This is a cool way to have multiple profiles under one general OOC account to make things work smoother. I think the idea is pretty straight-forward, but if there's any issues with this cool Plug-In, let me know and I'll remove it.
