WELCOME TO THE NEW AGE
They called it The Remedy, or rather, the miracle drug that saved the human race. It wiped out the Earth's ailments, increased the average life-span, and birthrates sky rocketed. Everything was perfect, too perfect even, and that was when people began to notice. Some say the people who noticed were crazy, that the uneasiness they felt must be because they were unappreciative for what miracle they had received. But in fact, they weren't the crazy ones, the lurkers were disappearing, the people always overlooked by society, dwelling and watching, waiting. The vampires were dying.
The Vampires were starving, the Remedy attacking their cells and killing them slowly and painfully. As the vampires died, the werewolves became less prominent, the cells in their bodies not reacting to their presence so new wolves weren't being born. The Supernatural was becoming extinct, and there wasn't any way to slow the process except to fight. To fight for their lives.
That's how the Ablix War began, and just as quickly as it started, it ended. It came down to an even match, the Remedy supporting the lives of even the most mangled humans, and the werewolves and vampires forming an alliance to fight the drug that's destroying their races. In the final moments, they made a hasty decision. The humans gave the Supernatural The Ablixes, areas of forestry used to increase oxygen on Earth. They were controlled environments, monitored by the humans, where the Supernatural could live and prosper without The Remedy destroying them or infecting their habitats.
But during the war, a strange thing happened. The Vampires and Werewolves had infected groups of humans. Some turned into Vampires, some Werewolves, and some seemed to be a chemical reaction between Vampire venom, Werewolf saliva, and The Remedy. They seemed to gain the capability to morph forms.

Now they need to learn to live in harmony. Shifters, Supernatural, and Humans, sharing one Earth for a place to call "home."
